Arrow season 6: Stephen Amell posts first script cover

Arrow season 6 is currently being written leading up to the start of filming, and Stephen Amell has a script page to prove it!

In a new post on Twitter, the series star (currently working on his Code 8 movie with Robbie Amell) made it clear that he now has the first episode in his inbox! The title for the episode is still unclear, though it’s probably not longer than a few words given how much he marked out with green. It’s being written by showrunners Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle, and directed by stunt coordinator James Bamford. This is a similar creative configuration to the excellent season 5 premiere that kickstarted everything that came after it leading up to the battle between Oliver and Prometheus. (The only difference is that the season 5 premiere has Greg Berlanti credited for the story, and Guggenheim / Mericle for the teleplay.)

While fellow DC shows The Flash and Supergirl have teased a few details here and there for their upcoming seasons, Amell and the entire Arrow team have been pretty quiet about some of what is coming their way this season. A big part of that is probably due to the epic cliffhanger, otherwise known as the one where everyone was on Liam Yu other than Oliver when it exploded. It’s not confirmed that every character survived, but given their promotions, it’s fair to say Katie Cassidy, Nick Gonzalez, and Juliana Harkavy will all be back. Also, it’s hard to imagine Arrow without the original team since they bring so much to the series.

Arrow season 6 premieres on The CW this October, and odds are you’ll get some more details at San Diego Comic-Con. Our hope is that Black Siren is a significant villain for the season, and there’s some consideration into bringing back more Slade Wilson after his return during “Liam Yu.” Either one of these scenarios is acceptable, though we understand the desire to try to bring in someone new just from the standpoint of mixing things up.
