Chicago Justice finale spoilers: Sophia Bush of Chicago PD guest stars

Chicago Justice finaleJust in case you needed an added reason to watch the Chicago Justice finale on NBC next week, here it is: A chance to see Sophia Bush! Erin Lindsay is going to be coming over from Chicago PD for the episode entitled “Tycoon,” and she’s not alone given that Eamonn Walker of Chicago Fire is also going to be making an appearance.

It should be fairly easy to see what the motivation is for the network bring on these two for guest spots and it’s to make this final episode as much of a One Chicago buffet as possible. It creates more of an epic feel for the story, and at the same time could boost the ratings for Chicago Justice. Unfortunately, this is a show that may need that boost to a certain extent, given that recent reports have suggested that there may be some concern for both this show and Chicago Med. With the long-term syndication prospects for the series relatively unclear, it remains to be seen if NBC is going to want to move forward with every show in the One Chicago universe.

There’ll be more time to get into that down the road; for now, let’s just go ahead and present some of what’s up coming in terms of the actual story for the episode.

Chicago Justice finale synopsis – “A crane collapses at a construction site and kills the son-in-law of wealthy real estate developer, Frank Linden (guest star Richard Schiff). Nagel (Joelle Carter) and Antonio (Jon Seda), with the help of CFD Chief Boden (guest star Eamonn Walker) discover that the collapse wasn’t actually an accident. The team digs into Linden, who has made many enemies, more dangerous friends, and is accustomed to using his money to get his way.”

With Schiff coming on board the show, you get the sense that the writers are really setting up a formidable opponent for the final chapter of the season. You do want someone you know to be intellectually threatening to Peter Stone and the right of the State’s Attorney’s office is the goal is to have you sweating bullets. This may also create a greater argument as to why you need Lindsay on the case; in a situation like this, it may be smart to bring in some of the big guns.
