Is Jane the Virgin new tonight? Looking at the schedule ahead
Alas, we’re not going to get a whole lot of either of them tonight — like Supergirl before it, the show is in the midst of a hiatus. It is going to return with new episodes later this month, but not until you get around to Monday, April 24 … and that is a LONG time that you have to wait. To make matters worse for some people out there, there are only five more episodes left this season. Season 3 overall has a smaller order in 20 episodes than either of the two seasons that came before it.
We’ve already shared some of our thoughts on the shorter order, including how there could be some benefits someday to the show cutting back a little bit when it comes to new episodes.
For the time being, let’s hope that when the show does return, they give us a mixture of everything that we want with a show like this. Of course, there is a certain part of us that watches for the romance, and while we still miss Michael, we want Jane to be happy. At the same time, this is also a show about so much more than love and we don’t want to see them become entirely transfixed on that. We’re also hoping that the series gives us a good bit more in the way of career development for not just Jane, but for Rogelio and every other character.
By the end of the season, maybe we’ll get a better idea of how they are building towards season 4 … though we hate to remind you already that you’re going to be waiting until the fall most likely to check that out.
