Chicago PD season 4 episode 19 spoilers: Burgess’ sister in peril
Where does the story on Chicago PD season 4 episode 19? The show’s coming back on NBC next week with an installment entitled “Last Minute Resistance,” and this is one that could be one of the most emotionally-charged hours of the season. It may also be one of the biggest hours to date for Marina Squierciati’s character of Kim Burgess.
Tonight, you’re going to get a chance to meet her sister Nicole, and see a little bit of their relationship unfold. However, you will see most of that relationship mostly from the lens of the relationship that is there between her and Ruzek — Nicole will have some strong opinions about it, given their past and everything that’s happened up until this point.
Moving into next week, everything changes as Nicole finds herself in grave danger, and Burgess struggles with pursuing justice while also wrestling with extreme guilt over precisely what transpired.
Chicago PD season 4 episode 19 synopsis – “After encouraging her sister to spend a night out with friends, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) wakes to find that Nicole (guest star Jules Willcox) never made it home. As the guilt begins to eat at Burgess, the team in Intelligence bands together to make finding Nicole their main priority. The case kicks into high gear when she is found clinging to life in an El station.”
This alone should give you a further extent of just how much of this episode is centered around the Burgess character — after all, there is nobody else even mentioned in terms of a main character. This is going to be her story, and hopefully she’s able to find Nicole before it’s too late. There is such a feeling of loss spreading throughout the Chicago PD universe already in between Olinsky’s son and also with Voight’s son at the end of this past season.
Promo – This is mostly a reflection of everything that we’ve already noted. It’s a powerful story that puts Burgess front and center, but the thing about being a part of Intelligence is that everyone is going to have your back if things start getting tough. She’ll have the support of her team.
