Dancing with the Stars 24: Are we gearing up for Heather Morris – Simone Biles showdown?

Heather Morris - Simone Biles

Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars premiere is almost here, and with that, so is the big Heather Morris – Simone Biles showdown.

We don’t mean to make this entire Dancing With The Stars article about these two people — after all, this article is meant to be a look ahead at the entire season — but you have to admit, predicting a winner this time seems exceedingly boring. We’re going to say that Simone has it just because Heather seems to be the conventional pick. Regardless of how you spin it, she has a lot of dance experience. Maybe she’s never done partner work, but this is almost like going from singles tennis to doubles tennis. There are different skills and techniques that you have to master, but it’s still tennis. We think that there will be some battling that Heather has to do to conquer like the stigma of being the obvious ringer — which is a shame, since we do like her and loved her on Glee. This is just the way that we see things going based on past shows.

As for what you should be watching out for over the rest of the season, one of the biggest storylines to us is going to be someone like Nancy Kerrigan. She’s been largely out of the public spotlight for years, but if you ask anyone over 40 who she is, her name comes to mind far faster than almost anyone else on the entire season. She also does have a natural talent that could cross over, much like it did for Meryl Davis or Kristi Yamaguchi during their times on the show. She’s a little older, but with age does come wisdom and understanding of your capabilities.

Also, you’ve got some other interesting people this season that are worth watching. Bonner Bolton is a relative unknown from a very specific walk of life, and he could either go home early or last a long time. Mr. T, meanwhile, is beloved by so many people and will probably have a chance of lasting based on having such a longtime fan base. We think that Erika Jayne will be pretty good at what she does, but the majority of the viewers out there may not have much of an idea as to who in the world Erika Jayne even is. That’s going to be a huge challenge for her to take on, but she has so much charisma that we could see her winning over viewers quite quickly.

So who’s gone first? Maybe it’s Erika (but we doubt it), maybe it’s Mr. T, or maybe it’s someone like Charo who isn’t going to be well-known to many young people. Maybe you could even look at Nick Viall. While he has his fans from The Bachelor, he’s no Sean Lowe when it comes to his popularity.
