The Walking Dead season 7, episode 12 promo analysis: Andrew Lincoln at a carnival

Earlier tonight, we wrote a Walking Dead season 7, episode 12 preview piece that was really all about highlighting some of the possibilities that could exist on the next new installment when it comes to the story of Tara, and whether or not we could see her making a big decision with Oceanside.

Now, we’ve got another piece that is mostly about about the promo itself for next week’s episode … coupled with our analysis of that. Specifically, we’re talking Michonne and what could be one of the most entertaining episodes for the two of them that we’ve seen in a while. They’ve been together in a larger group, but there’s certainly some joy that comes with seeing them on their own.

Before moving forward, let’s set the stage: Rick and Michonne are out at present on a supply run, and they’ve got to punish themselves to the limit given their set of goals right now. They need to find guns in order to satisfy the agreement with Jadis, and they’ve also got to figure out the right way to further help Alexandria, as well.

At some point, the action leads the two to a carnival, and that is where stuff hits the fan. For those of you who feel like the show hasn’t shown enough walkers the past few weeks, this will be the opportunity to try and correct that. Expect zombie violence! Hey, it’s at the heart of the show.

Meanwhile, this is going to also be an episode that continues to get you frustrated with Rosita, who is getting more and more cranky as the show furthers itself along. We wish we knew a cure for what ails her, but alas, we do not. We do think that a certain part of it is not exactly knowing precisely what to do with the character now that so many people who were close to her are now gone.

At the very least, you know you’re getting a lot of Richonne next week, and maybe there’ll be a few romantic moments for the two in the midst of all the chaos. One can only hope!
