‘Chicago Fire’ season 5, episode 15 preview: The ‘Chicago Justice’ crossover begins
The first thing that we should tell you about the next new episode of “Chicago Fire” is that this is not one that’s going to be coming on at your standard night and time. This one is going to air on Wednesday, March 1, and will be at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is a part of an epic three-part crossover event that also includes “Chicago PD” and the special premiere of “Chicago Justice.” (For the record, there will be some elements of “Chicago Med” in here as well.)
So what could cause everyone in the whole city to become involved in this crisis? Well, let’s just say that it all starts to go haywire when an accident happens at a factory. From there, it’s fairly easy to see precisely how everyone could be in danger.
Synopsis – “Truck and squad are called to aid in a massive all-city response when an old, ill-equipped factory-turned live/work space quickly turns into a firestorm, trapping countless unsuspecting victims. The dire situation quickly turns personal when it is discovered that one of Chicago PD’s own has a family member at the scene. With the rescued victims in need of serious medical attention, the doctors and nurses of Chicago Med are tested as the major influx of patients are brought through their doors. Meanwhile, in the aftermath, the building owner steps forward to cooperate with the ongoing investigation, but the situation takes a sudden and unexpected turn.”
This is absolutely an ambitious idea for three hours of television, especially since one of them is a completely new show and there is no guarantee that anyone is even going to watch “Justice.” We still do hope that they do, given that this is a show with a ton of potential for great drama, and we like most of the people who are involved in it. Also, let’s hope for some good ratings right from the jump so there is no immediate need for concern.
