‘Supernatural’ season 12, episode 13 preview: Are Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles taking on a ghost ship?

Supernatural -

For those of you looking for “Supernatural” scoop and backstory aplenty, next week’s new episode “Family Feud” could be a good source of that. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like either Steve Harvey or Louie Anderson will be guest-starring. (Hooray, game-shot jokes!)

Instead, next week’s installment is going to offer up an opportunity to give us a little bit some more insight when it comes to Gavin, Crowley, and Rowena. Basically, this is going to give you a good sense as to why the title for this episode is what it is! Sam and Dean will also have a chance to dive into a fun story about Gavin and ghosts, and poor Kelly Kline is going to experience some of the unfortunate aftereffects that come along with being pregnant with Lucifer’s child.

Synopsis – “When Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) look into a murder at a museum, they learn a ghost from a merchant ship that sunk in 1723 may be at the heart of the mystery. After realizing “The Star” was the same ship that Crowley’s (Mark A. Sheppard) son Gavin McLeod (guest star Theo Devaney) should have been aboard, they enlist help from Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) to track Gavin down. Kelly Kline (guest star Courtney Ford), still pregnant with Lucifer’s child, takes refuge with a demon after an angel attempts to kill her.”

Really, this episode fulfills almost everything that we could want — it’s a chance to get some Crowley backstory, see more Rowena, and give Jensen and Jared some fun stuff to do. We like the boys when they’re out on the murder-mystery beat, and this episode has that Monster of the Week quality to it while at the same time giving you deeper mythology on one of the key characters. All in all, the seeds are planted here for a pretty great hour of TV — what’s not to like?

Promo – Will Lucifer’s love-child live or die? That seems to be the main focus here. Watch below and enjoy.
