‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8, episode 15 preview: Torture, betrayal, and ‘Payback’
Now, we have to wait for a little while to see how all of it could end. We’re embarking on a long hiatus before the next new episode entitled “Payback,” which is not going to air on CBS until we roll around to Sunday, February 19. The reason for the delay is pretty easy to explain — the Super Bowl is airing on February 5, and then the following week, you’ve got the Grammys airing on CBS. Look at it this way — there will be some more new episodes airing later in the year because of it.
As for precisely what you can expect to see in this episode, the simplest thing that we can say is that the crazy is going to hit the fan — and often.
Synopsis – “Emotions run high for the team as one agent is held in an unknown location and tortured by the mole, while another discovers he was betrayed by someone he least expected.”
Just when you thought nothing could be worse for these characters, you now have torture and betrayal. The only real hope you’ve got right now is the title of the episode, and the fact that if everyone was to die the show would be having a series finale sooner rather than later. That’s not happening. Let’s just hope for some more great entertainment from the show when it returns, and that this lengthy story arc does come to a satisfying end. We’ve absolutely waited long enough to see that happen.
Warning: Spoilers from tonight’s episode ahead…
We now know that the mole is in part a vast conspiracy that started many years ago with Sullivan in Afghanistan. Basically, it was a long game, and the episode ended with this guy about to chop of Kensi’s leg in an “eye for an eye” punishment. This looks BRUTAL … to say the least.
