‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2, episode 10 preview: The Legion of Doom backstory

Legion of Doom -

Through much of “Legends of Tomorrow” season 2, one of the biggest questions has revolved around what Damien Darhk, Eobard Thawne, and what Malcolm Merlyn really want as a result of all of the hard work that they’ve done as the Legion of Doom so far.

Luckily, next week will be a time for us to actually start to see a little bit more of this backstory, as we start to figure out a little bit more of what the three of them are up to. Not only that, but we could also in the process come to realize that this Legion is not exactly anywhere near as unified as they appear to be on the surface.

Synopsis – “The Legends are determined to find and rescue Rip (Arthur Darvill), but first must focus on locating the Spear of Destiny. Stein (Victor Garber) thinks he has the perfect person to help but knows involving her will be risky. Meanwhile, Malcom Merlyn (guest star John Barrowman) and Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) realize that Thawne (guest star Matt Letscher) is pitting them against each other.”

As you know, the Spear of Destiny is essential to determining the future of every single character on the show, and we’re not just talking about Rip and his alter ego. If the Legion gets control of it for too long, what it could mean is that they could dictate their entire story and change how everything goes moving forward. It’s a pretty terrifying thought, and while we do find these three rather comical as Big Bads, their intentions are very much serious.

Promo – That’s not really all that mind spent in here on the subject of what’s going on with the Legion — instead, this is more of a tease about the Legends trying to get through the Rip, and some comedy that’s going to come about in the process.
