‘Timeless’ episode 13 preview: Will Wyatt save his wife in the past?

Timeless -Over the past couple of episodes of “Timeless,” the show’s slowly planted a few seeds in regards to whether or not Wyatt would figure out a way to travel back in time in order to save his wife Jessica. Because of the rules of time-travel, though, it’s not all that easy to just go back and save her. Rather, he’s got to go all the way back to ensure that the person responsible for causing her death was never born in the first place. That’s an emotional decision, given that this is the sort of thing that can have HUGE reverberations on the rest of the timeline.

This episode is entitled “Karma Chameleon,” which we like to pretend is some sort of meta crossover with Boy George being a part of “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Given that we are going back to the heyday of Culture Club in the 1980’s, in some ways it kind of is.

Synopsis – “Wyatt (Matt Lanter) convinces Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) to steal the Lifeboat for an unauthorized mission to prevent Wyatt’s wife’s killer from ever being born. Lucy (Abigail Spencer) must cover for them in the present, as Agent Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey) discovers the ship is missing and Anthony Bruhl (guest star Matt Frewer) makes an alarming confession.”

Based on everything we’re seeing here, this could be the biggest episode of the entire series in terms of the characters. If nothing else, it does establish just how far our core three in Rufus, Wyatt, and Lucy are going to go in order to execute their mission.

Promo – When we first read the synopsis for this episode, our assumption was that we were going to be seeing all of the core three working together. After watching this, that doesn’t quite feel like it’s the case. Lucy realizes just how catastrophic this move could be, and understandably, she wants to do everything that she can in order to bring it to a halt.
