‘Power’ season 4 spoilers: Charlie Murphy lands guest-starring gig

Power -Interested in checking out what’s happening on “Power” for the upcoming season? Well, consider the attached picture just a small taste — but a very notable one.

As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, “Chappelle’s Show” alum Charlie Murphy is going to be appearing on the fourth season as Marshal Williams, a man who seems to be encountering James St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) in the midst of his prison crisis. Beyond this, there isn’t much other information known.

All we can say for certain is that with Ghost behind bars, the season is certainly starting off in a far different spot than any that came before it. He’s someone who is the focal point of almost the entire story, but we had characters like Angela and Tasha romantically intertwined with him, the complicated relationship with his son to think about, and of course he and Tommy continued to have their own arrangement, which started to crumble as the season went on when Tommy truly realized that Ghost cared more about himself.

Who’s on his side now? Given that Angela arrested him for the murder of Greg Knox, we can’t say she is unless she somehow figures out that it was Mike Sandoval instead — even if that happens, that still doesn’t take away the fact that Ghost and Tommy were key players in the death of Lobos. He’s not winning any trophies in terms of his honesty. Given what’s going on with Tariq right now, Tasha may also be a tad preoccupied and nothing’s going to get any easier when Ghost realizes just how involved Kanan is with his own son. He’s emotionally alone, and if he’s in prison for long, he may find himself without any visitors coming to say hello.

Presumably, “Power” season 4 will premiere this summer on Starz, unless there are any last-minute changes that come into play. With “American Gods” and “Outlander” both on tap, there’s a possibility for a shake-up here or there.
