‘Teen Wolf’ season 6, episode 7 preview: Theo and major trust issues
During this past episode of “Teen Wolf” on MTV, we got a chance to see the return of one of the show’s most notorious characters in Theo. He’s devious, dangerous, and he absolutely hates anyone telling him what to do. As a result of that, he is a difficult person to keep around.
With that said, does the pack really have any other choice? The sneak peek below makes you wonder this, as Theo does his part in order to try to convince Scott that they should trust him. He’s not saying that the two of them should go running down the street arm-in-arm with the character, but he may be their only hope to getting Stiles back. Because he wasn’t exactly in this dimension when the Ghost Riders arrived, Theo is the only person who remembers Stiles fully. Therefore, he’s an asset, even if he’s also a thorn in everyone’s side.
Given that there is still plenty of time left in the season, we have to think that we’re eventually building towards Stiles getting back with the rest of the pack, but if that happens, we do certainly feel as though there are still some questions. After all, it’s not entirely clear if everyone else gets their memories back if he returns, and this could produce some awkward moments with people spending time with him without actually remembering. There are also questions about what this could mean for Claudia, who deliberately has tried to keep her son’s identity and what is under the wallpaper at bay for most of the season to date.
Theo has potential to both stop Claudia and also to get Stiles back — that much is assured. In the context of the show, the larger question is mostly whether or not he can make good on this potential, and have it become reality and something that sustains. If he wants to remain one of the good guys, Scott and company could certainly use him … though it’s fair to say that there could always be a little bit of mistrust in the back of their minds.
