‘Chicago Med’ season 2 spoilers: Major death coming before finale

Med -

While it’s been fairly quiet as of late on the “Chicago Med” news front, apparently it was just dormant to lead the way for a larger eruption at some point a little bit later in the season.

According to a new report right now coming via TV Guide, you are going to see the death of one recurring character at the end of the season (specifically a few episodes before the finale), someone whose departure will be “tragic” and also “has a profound effect” on those around them. The one thing that will come as a result of this exit is that it will lead to a major changing of the guard at the hospital, where some characters could find themselves in new positions that they were not in before.

Since this story claims that it is a recurring character, you can go ahead and write off people like Dr. Halstead, Dr. Rhodes, or Dr. Manning from the list of possibilities. The same goes for many other super-familiar characters. We actually think that the list of possible candidates is a fairly small one given that this is not a show with an enormous recurring cast, but since we don’t want to lead anyone in a particular direction, we don’t want to go into further specifics. Do we have a theory? Sure, and regardless of if we’re right or wrong, we’ll share it following the death taking place.

Ultimately, this would be the first significant death of a major character on this show, but it’s far from the first one within the “One Chicago” franchise. We lost Nadia previously on “Chicago PD,” and we would say that the departure of Leslie Shay on “Chicago Fire” remains the most devastating death to date. That is probably going to be the one that will probably stick with us the most once these series are over unless something else really devastating happens down the road.
