‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2, episode 5 video: Boss on Legion of Doom’s (early) formation

Thursday night’s new episode of “Legends of Tomorrow” Is going to do more beyond just offering up a look at the 1980’s through the lens of our heroes — it’s also going to give you a further understanding as to the season’s villains.

In the video below, executive producer Marc Guggenheim lays the groundwork for what is the foundation of the Legion of Doom, otherwise known as the group of bad guys who will dominate the majority of the airtime as we get further and further into the season. They’ll be forming through an interaction between Eobard Thawne and Damien Darhk in this era, one where the Reverse-Flash wants to do whatever he can in order to convince Darhk to go with him on what seems to be a journey to rewrite history, at least to a certain extent. for the time being, Darhk does not seem to have much in the way of an understanding as to how this will impact him in the long-term.

The big takeaway that we have from watching this is most that we could be in for a lot of fun storytelling despite these being two fairly evil guys; this is a show that doesn’t tend to spend a whole lot of time delving into the overtly dramatic, and that is probably a good thing for it in the long-term. Instead, it’s focusing more on the spirit of adventure that comes with moving through various periods, even if you encounter some trying times along the way.

Specifically in this sneak peek, we are reminded of one trying time: The death of Rex Tyler. Vixen in particular is still looking to avenge her fellow former member of the Justice Society of America, and they’ve received a tip that they are present in the 1980’s White House.
