‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ results: Was Marilu Henner, Terra Jole, or Jana Kramer eliminated?

Tonight, “Dancing with the Stars” presented yet another contentious elimination — or at least it seemed that way going into the episode. We felt like the elimination at the end of the night was between three pairs: Marilu Henner & Derek Hough, Jana Kramer & Gleb Savchenko, and Terra Jole & Sasha Farber. While we do like to claim that we’ve got pretty good sense in terms of figuring out who stays and who goes through some of these eliminations, the reality here is that they can still be fairly unpredictable and you don’t quite know just what is going to happen. Anything can depending on if a given fan base decides to not vote on a given night.

One other reason we want to see Calvin Johnson, James Hinchcliffe, and Laurie Hernandez sticking around is that it makes for the most competitive finale — we really like Laurie and expect her firmly to win, but at the same time we don’t want to just watch her steamroll everyone. That’s not nearly as much fun.

The results – Tonight, it ultimately did come down to Marilu and Jana as to who would be going home. We honestly saw this one going either way, just because Marilu had a really popular partner in Derek Hough and Jana isn’t that well-known for many viewers.

Yet, this marks the end for Marilu’s journey this week, as she and Derek are now heading home a couple of weeks before the finale. As sad as it may be, they have to be happy with how they did. They didn’t overstay their welcome, and they weren’t ever going to win the competition. We just hope that they both had a good time and enjoyed the journey this season; for Derek, we always wonder if he’ll be around next season, so we enjoyed every minute of him taking part this time.
