‘Suits’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Is Mike’s deal in danger?

Wednesday night’s new episode of “Suits” certainly is bringing the drama, but it is also setting the stage for the final episodes of the summer. Presumably there are two more to come, and these will do a good job of making it clear exactly what lies ahead for Mike Ross as his future is very much up for grabs. Things look good for him now in terms of getting out of prison, but will that last? The promo has us skeptical thanks to Sean Cahill.

Here’s what we can tell you about the next installment so far: The title here is “The Hand that Feeds You,” and the synopsis below gives you a good sense as to what is up ahead (minor spoilers are comin’ up if you haven’t watched tonight’s episode yet):

“To protect Mike, Harvey considers putting Gallo back on the streets. Jessica and Rachel get Bailey’s case re-opened, but winning it is no slam dunk. And Louis deals with his anxiety over Tara.”

Do we think that all of these stories will come to a close this summer? That’s something we’re waiting to see, but we are okay in the event that they don’t. After all, we do think that everything with prison is compelling enough to last a while, and the same goes for the Leonard Bailey case. After all, it’s refreshing to see a different side of Rachel that is separate from her relationship with Mike. Louis and Tara, meanwhile, are simply a tremendous source of fun who are very much different from almost everyone else. They help to ensure that the show has balance, since there always is a certain element of humor present here.
