‘America’s Got Talent’ results: Did Dunkin’ Save help Deadly Games, Hara, Lori Mae Hernandez?
Tonight, “America’s Got Talent” brought us the first elimination show of the season, and it was one with a TON of drama. We felt going in that Outlawz, Dorothy Williams, and Daniel Joyner all had more or less no chance of going through, and it could be between Musicality, Sila, and Hara as to who stays and who goes. There were a lot of acts who felt like locks, including Laura Bretan, Jon Dorenbos, and our personal favorite Tape Face.
We’re going to present all of the results tonight in REAL TIME, which means that we’ll be updating this article over the course of the show. Stay tuned for more!
Dunkin’ Save – Yep, it’s back. The three acts on the bubble tonight were Deadly Games (they deserve to go straight through), Hara, and Lori Mae Hernandez. We don’t really love the idea of one of them not moving on, but Deadly Games and Lori Mae are probably our choices (and we don’t often side with kid acts).
Now, let’s move on to the advancing acts.
Laura Bretan – No surprise at all here. Going last + being a Golden Buzzer = win.
Jayna Brown – Not that surprising at all, given that she got Louis Tomlinson’s Golden Buzzer and she also had a great performance, even if it was at the start of the night.
Musicality – Remember the days of “AGT” favoring singers heavily? These results are starting to lean in that direction…
Tape Face – Apparently, America loves him as much as we do.
Jon Dorenbos – The NFL star sticks around! For the most part, these picks were all expected.
Lori Mae Hernandez – The Dunkin Save’ was for her! Clearly, there were a lot of Democrats voting tonight.
Deadly Games – After a tie vote, America managed to (thankfully) send them through to the next round.
As for the guest performers tonight, did you expect anything less from Paul Zerdin and Mat Franco? These are the sorts of winners this show needs, since they’re unique enough to go off somewhere else, have success, and be worthy acts to bring back. Sometimes you don’t always want to bring the winners back because they don’t have a whole lot else going on…

“The Dunkin Save’ was for her! Clearly, there were a lot of Democrats voting tonight.”
Haha she joked both Trump and Clinton. If anyone was voting in bulk it was either the libertarian voters or just the people that hate both candidates. Which is like half of our nation…

She’s the opera singer who got the golden buzzer from Mel B in the first episode of the season. So this was her second appearance. Both times she was the last act of the night, reflecting the intention of the producers to showcase her. Her talent is beyond question – she’s spectacular. Just wish they didn’t pretend she’s some kind of undiscovered gem. She’s been discovered already.

Lori shouldn’t have made it. HARA and Deadly Games were both better. I don’t even think she was supposed to be the Dunkin save it was to supposed to be Daniel. Me and a lot of people are upset but other than that the results were good.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that Laura Bretan won Romania’s Got Talent last year? She didn’t just appear on that show, she WON it. Doesn’t that take away something from her humble story?

It could, but the reality is that so many of these people are farmed / taken from other editions of the franchise. The Professional Regurgitator last season appeared on a ton of different versions — The Passing Zone made it super far in season 1. Alas, the days of fully undiscovered talent are all but gone.

True indeed that people attempt with multiple GT franchises all the time (and Brundage was on Penn & Teller, etc) but I think having a past GT winner then go appear on another franchise is unprecedented and not OK. And hey, c’mon…there are plenty of undiscovered talents – Jayna Brown, Sofie Dossi and Calysta Bevier have each never appeared on TV anywhere before (I think!) Let’s support those fresh new acts and not hype the ones that already have had their 15 minutes!

it bothers me so much. Honestly, she was just like, “oh this is my first time on national television”. That’s a lie. She’s been on national television so many times, it’s just not funny.

Exactly. She certainly has a spectacular voice, but her persona is fiction. If other people get sympathy votes for their sad stories then shouldn’t we take away votes from Laura for being nothing but successful? Think about that when you vote people!

Actually that really sucks! I don’t understand why she is on another GT show

I really don’t like Lori Mae. She hopefully win be eliminated soon. Looks like her fan club is here though Laugh Out Loud. Probably just family or friends, or Hillary trolls.

I think that lori mae hernandez needs to go through because she is rilly good and she can save her and her mom

You’re thinking of Jayna Brown. She and her mom lost their house. Lori Mae’s dad had Bell’s palsy, where the facial nerve is temporarily damaged and cause one side of the face to droop. Lori Mae started doing comedy to make her dad smile again.
