‘Doctor Who’ season 10: Matt Lucas takes center stage in new BBC video
“Doctor Who” season 10 is currently in the process of filming, and for its latest video, the BBC has decided to give you yet another surprise: A new video featuring Matt Lucas! The actor is going to have a significant role on at least part of the upcoming episodes, and based on what he has to say, there are a a lot of things that are going to be happening over the coming episodes:
“I’m ecstatic because it’s my first day back on Doctor Who. Originally I was just in the Christmas special and now I find myself returning for more adventures. I’m very excited … We’re here on location today [working] at Cardiff University doing some running around. Maybe I’ll lose some weight. My mother would be very happy!”
Ultimately, we’re personally just rather thrilled to have Lucas back regardless of how substantial the role is, and hope that this is the foundation for some more fun stuff to come in the weeks ahead. We know that he will bring a lot to the table when it comes to his humor, and given that there is so much of the great unknown ahead courtesy of a new Companion in Pearl Mackie and Steven Moffat leaving at the end of the season, it’s nice to have a little bit of an established face thrown in here.
Now, we just have to wait for an official premiere date to be announced…
