‘Game of Thrones’ season 6, episode 4 preview: Further struggles for Emilia Clarke’s Dany
So far on “Game of Thrones” season 6, the story for Dany has moved at somewhat of a glacial pace. We’ve known that ever since Emilia Clarke’s character was captured by Khal Moro, she was ordered to go back to Vaes Dothrak, where in turn she would live out her days with the other widows of deceased Khals. It’s a far different fate than what she anticipated going into this season, so the struggle for her now is what to do in order to avoid being here forever. Is it possible that Dany finds a way to rally some troops and convinces the forces to go in some other direction? Since this is Dany that we’re talking about here, this is definitely something that you have to consider a possibility. She is very persuasive, and is able to convince people constantly that she carries with her a higher calling.
Also, there’s another possibility here: Daario and Ser Jorah come and retrieve her, somehow convincing people along the way to let her go. While this would solve a temporary problem, we personally feel like Dany needs more than just leaving the Dothraki horde in order to move forward in her life and her quest for conquest of all Westeros. She may need the Dothraki to help her ensure that more of Essos is under her control before going elsewhere, since things have quickly fallen apart in Meereen. Tyrion may be trying to fix things, but it remains to be seen if he’s capable of it.
We will have more on this upcoming episode of “Game of Thrones” later this weekend; stay tuned!
