‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 22 preview: Katie Cassidy guest-stars as Black Siren

FlashNext week is the penultimate episode of “The Flash” entitled “Invincible,” and based on what we’re hearing about right now, this will be a pretty thrilling hour of television for so many reasons. For one, we’re getting a chance to see Zoom back in the forefront after a fairly quiet week for most of tonight’s installment, and this time around, he’s got company. Katie Cassidy is appearing for the first time as a living character in the present since Laurel Lance’s death, but the difference here is that she’s not the Earth-1 version of the character.

This time around around, Katie is playing the Black Siren, a powerful character who may be rather different than her counterpart. The synopsis below gives you a little bit more information about what is coming up:

“After Zoom (guest star Teddy Sears) unleashes an army of Earth-2 meta-humans on Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) is shaken when he sees their leader is the Black Canary’s Earth-2 doppelganger, the Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy). Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) takes to the streets to help The Flash stop the meta-humans, which worries Joe (Jesse L. Martin). Iris (Candice Patton) and Henry (guest star John Wesley Shipp) are concerned about Barry taking on Zoom.”

One thing we do hope, beyond more story development in this episode, is that Iris and Henry get a chance to do something other than worry about Barry. We understand it, but having a few shakeups here and there always proves to be nice.
