‘Criminal Minds’ season 11, episode 20 preview: Huge Rossi story lies ahead in ‘Inner Beauty’

Criminal Minds -Tonight, “Criminal Minds” brought to the table an episode in “Tribute” that was meant in some ways to help you move forward following the end of the Shemar Moore era. It brought us the return of Paget Brewster as Emily Prentiss, and in turn her presence helped to get some more insight into the fact that characters can return to the show. Just because Morgan is gone from the show now does not necessarily mean that he will be forever. There’s still hope to see him again at some point!

For the time being, though, the CBS show is allowing you to take a little bit of a deep breath. There is no installment of the show airing next week, but the show will be back on April 13 with an installment entitled “Inner Beauty.” Based on the synopsis below, it definitely looks like there is a big story coming for Joe Mantegna and his character of Rossi:

“The BAU searches for an UnSub who is purposely disfiguring victims. Also, Rossi has an awkward reunion with his ex-wife, Hayden Montgomery, who kept his daughter, Joy, a secret from him for nearly 30 years.”

We do hope that the remainder of this season follows at least a somewhat-similar trajectory, at least in that we could get some more character-focused stories like this one over the course of the rest of the season. While there may not be a huge number of cast members at the moment, great things can happen for this show if it puts the focus on each one of them to a certain extent the rest of the way.
