TV Quick Hits: ‘Bloodline’ season 2 premiere date; Quincy Jones’ surprise by Ellen DeGeneres

Bloodline -Bloodline” return date – Wondering when one of your favorite Netflix shows is coming on the air again? Well, we’re rather pleased to have that answer for you: Friday, May 27. This is what the streaming provider announced today. It’s a smart launch for the show as far as we’re concerned. It’s Memorial Day Weekend, May sweeps is over across the major networks, and unless you’re out at a barbecue, what else do you have going on?

The network also released the official logline for the drama, which you can see below:

“Season 2 begins with the Rayburn family struggling to conceal their unthinkable crime. Mysterious strangers from Danny’s past arrive with a dangerous agenda. Law enforcement is closing in on the truth behind Danny’s murder. And the tight-knit family’s once harmonious relationship is poisoned by paranoia and mistrust as it slowly begins to unravel. Lies mount. Alliances are betrayed. Relationship are destroyed. With their backs against the wall, good people may have to do some very bad things…”

Ellen DeGeneres makes another wish come true – While these two stories have very little to do with each other, we did still want to shine a light on this story since it’s pretty moving: Ellen has helped Quincy Jones, a comedian who is dying of cancer, to achieve his goal of having a comedy special. You can see her in the video below reveal that HBO has picked up his special, which he is filming early next month. She also provided him with some money from Shutterfly to help ensure that the special has the necessary budget to get made.
