‘Supergirl’ episode 17 video: Why is Lucy Lane at the DEO?

Monday night’s new episode of “Supergirl” is entitled “Manhunter,” which is appropriate for a pair of different reasons. First things first, it is an obvious nod to the Martian Manhunter character; from there, it also is a good way to describe the manhunt for information on J’onn J’onzz.

In an effort to stop Supergirl on this past episode from effectively poisoning National City after being exposed to Red Kryptonite, Hank Henshaw had to expose that he is not actually Hank Henshaw at all. As a result of that, it is fair to say that reaction was not exactly favorable. Everything he did was immediately scrutinized, and in the sneak peek below you can also see that the military is also being brought in to trace his infiltration to the DEO. In turn, this means the return of Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy Lane, who clearly has not gone anywhere too fast in the wake of her breakup with Jimmy Olsen.

Is there a way for Kara to make this investigation a little bit easier? It’s hard to say for certain, but we imagine that she could at least consider telling her the truth that she and Supergirl are one of the same. It would attach a human face to what is going on, even though at the same time we’re not sure this is the sort of face she wants attached to it. After all, you just have to remember here that there was already some tension between Lucy and James over Kara.
