‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12 spoilers: Will prospective Meredith love interest stick around?

On Thursday night’s all-new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” we had a chance to see Meredith Grey at least consider something that she really hasn’t ever since the death of Derek: Show at least some sort of interest romantically in someone else. Who was it? We’re speaking of course here about the military doctor a.k.a. Dr. Thorpe, who expressed some sort of interest in her at the end of this past episode.

So where are we going from here with this story? Well, we can at least tell you that this story is not completely over just yet. According to Entertainment Weekly, Scott Elrod is going to be returning for at least a couple more episodes. It’s not entirely clear just yet if this means that we’ll be getting to see more of him in a romantic capacity, but we just figure that there will be some people who are happy to see where this story goes one way or another.

Is it a little unrealistic to think that Meredith would be able to have a great relationship with the very first person that she came into contact with? For the most part, we’d say that the answer to that is probably yes. It’s possible, but we’re not exactly going to have the biggest expectations in the world for this storyline.
