‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Jonah Hill, Kate McKinnon get a shoeshine

This weekend marks the return of “Saturday Night Live” to the air with new episodes, and it will be coming back with a host in Jonah Hill who has certainly been here before. Like Melissa McCarthy recently, Hill is a stellar performer who is really great at doing some of the big, physical roles that this show at times require.

For the sake of the promo below, though, Jonah is simply having a little bit of fun at the shoeshine with fellow cast member Kate McKinnon. There is a cute little bit in here when it comes to mustaches, but let’s face it: This is a standard promo for the show, and there is really not a whole lot in here that necessarily stands out more than anything else. Let’s just hope that the show has a few more notable moments than what we’ve got here.

As for if there are any particular sketches we have in mind, we’d be absolutely stunned if there is not a return in here somewhere for the Adam Grossman character, who Hill has played on several past occasions on the show. Also, you gotta think we’re getting something when it comes to Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton following Super Tuesday, especially after everything that has happened in the headlines away from it.

The one disappointing part of all this? We may be at the end of the road when it comes to Jay Pharoah’s phenomenal Ben Carson, one of the best discoveries of the entire Presidential cycle.
