ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 5, episode 13 preview: The Fitz – Olivia standoff cometh

You knew that this was going to be coming at some point, especially when you consider all of the bad blood that is between them on “Scandal“: Olivia and Fitz are going to be having a verbal argument like no other when the show returns on Thursday, March 10.

So what can you expect to see here by and large between the two of them? We’d say that it all stems from a pair of different things.

1. Fitz’s recent White House hookup, which was reckless and puts him in an even worse position. He’s basically having Abby have to lecture him on things he should easily know about, and that is the sort of position we’ve found ourselves in now.

2. Olivia having the abortion, which has to be subconsciously at least still in her head.

As for some other developments, it looks to be more of the same on “Scandal” moving forward, with sex and politics each playing a significant role in their own way. We hope that there are a few twists and turns in here that are genuinely interesting, but for the time being we’re not entirely sure of what to think of where this story is going. At the moment, the biggest thing it could benefit from is a little bit of simplification, and getting back to what viewers liked at first so that there are not so many characters keeping well-known people from having a generous dose of screen time.

Suffice it to say, this is proving to be a rather complicated world and then some.
