‘Game of Thrones’ season 6 teaser will air alongside ‘Vinyl’ premiere
Tonight marks the premiere of the ambitious new HBO drama “Vinyl,” and this may mean something else entirely for those of you who are diehard fans of “Game of Thrones“: It’s the chance to see the latest teaser for the upcoming sixth season in all of its glory!
We’ve heard talk about there being a leaked teaser out there already, but that’s not something we’re going to dive into here since we don’t know for certain that it is authorized footage. What we do know is that this could be the most-revealing look at season 6 yet when the teaser officially premieres, and it could give you something more to be excited about.
Over the course of the past few weeks, the network has started to roll out some of the first bit of promotional material from the upcoming season. This includes some photos that were very recently put out, and also a large social-media promotion that the official Twitter did recently to give people at least a sense of the upcoming aesthetic for the new episodes.
In the end, though, we expect HBO to be much more secretive about the upcoming season than they have ever been before, if for no other reason than that there is little material out there from George R.R. Martin to indicate what is coming up next. What’s the incentive to start sharing a wide array of teasers? The only answer we can offer up for the time being is that there’s not one. They can offer up the tiniest of clips, and still know that the ratings for the show will be off the charts. It’s a bit of good fortune on their part.
