‘Suits’ season 5 spoilers: How will Scottie’s presence complicate (or help) things?

What we learned at the end of this past new episode of “Suits” was that by and large, Pearson Specter Litt was screwed in their hopes of getting Anita Gibbs to go away quickly and quietly. She’s there to stir up you-know-what for the long haul, and they have to figure out the right away to deal with her.

After Jeff Malone opted to not take part in the defense of the firm, now Harvey is turning some of his attention elsewhere: Scottie. She’s one of the few other people who knows what was going on with Mike, and while she could be willing to help out in some capacity, that does not necessarily mean that she is okay with what happened. As Aaron Korsh teases to TVLine, Abigail Spencer’s character “is a little resentful of [Mike’s] secret, so she’s not going to have the greatest response to that.”

Meanwhile, the show creator also teases that Scottie and Rachel are going to have some moments to talk things out, which is interesting given how Scottie’s ex Harvey is becoming more and more of a focus in Gibbs’ investigation:

“Both of their two men are in the crosshairs here … They have an interesting, little interaction where they get to express different points of view on what the consequences of this whole thing might be.”

Even if we have no idea if Scottie is going to be around the show for the rest of the season, we’re glad the writers keep finding interesting ways to bring her back. For example, if Harvey is ever going to be able to move forward romantically with anyone else, we do think that there are some issues here that need to be put to further rest.
