‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 12 preview: War of a weapon

Who knew that one single weapon could be so valuable? Well, actually we should say that we did. We watched “The Vampire Diaries,” so we know that any item that can actually destroy the Mikaelson family is an idea worth pursuing. They’re very hard to kill, and what makes the idea of taking one out so fascinating is the domino effect that comes with it. In taking them out, any other vampire also runs the risk of terrible things happening to them. That is admittedly an concept from the olden days of the flagship show that we’d love “The Originals” to go back to in some way, even if they do have a knack for writing themselves out of what seem to be black-and-white scenarios. Who ever imagined that we’d be seeing so many incarnations of characters like Kol or Rebekah.

“When a powerful weapon that could take down the Mikaelsons for good ends up in the wrong hands, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) finds himself in a tense standoff with an unlikely foe. Meanwhile, Elijah’s (Daniel Gillies) attempt to reclaim control of The Strix leads to a violent showdown and the emergence of a potential new leader. Elsewhere, when a new coven of witches tries to influence Davina (Danielle Campbell) into helping them locate the elusive weapon, she quickly realizes she may be in over her head.”

Is there a show that is better than this one when it comes to crafting promos that have your jaw on the ground? If there is, we certainly would like to see it!
