‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 11 preview: The Reverse-Flash is back!
The second season of “The Flash” certainly got things going in a big way with its winter premiere, and that is only going to continue next week given what the primary subject matter is: The great return of the Reverse-Flash to the series!
Before we say anything else, let’s go ahead and give you the synopsis below. This explains at least part of the puzzle:
“When Cisco (Carlos Valdes) gets a vibe of Eobard Thawne (guest star Matthew Letscher), Barry (Grant Gustin) and the team don’t believe it. But, after an attack at Mercury Labs, Christina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) confirms that the Reverse Flash is back. Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) and Francine (guest star Vanessa A. Williams) share a nice moment that brings Iris closer to her brother, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale).”
So how in the world is this possible? It’s certainly a great question, and at first we just presumed that maybe this was just an Earth-2 version of the character. However, some reports that have come out ever since have suggested otherwise, stating that this version of the character may actually be the same Reverse-Flash Eddie Thawne killed at the end of the first season of the show. How can this be possible? The only real explanation we can offer is that clearly, this Reverse-Flash is someone who is a master at weaving his way through time. Not everything is necessarily linear, and with that in mind the story jumps from one point to the next. It’s almost like “Legends of Tomorrow,” except with just one person at the center.
