‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Kenan Thompson have some fun

We figure that there was almost no question as to who to put in this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” promo alongside Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. It had to be Kenan Thompson, right?

There are many obvious to put Kenan in here, starting with the sole fact that he is the cast member who probably knows them best among the current cast and crew. He worked alongside them early in his “SNL” career, and we imagine him being a big part of the upcoming show thanks to the camaraderie that is already there. Of course, the question is just how he will appear with them. If they return to “Weekend Update,” could he be one of the guests? Could Tina and Amy get some laughs in some other sketches with him as a game-show host? There are many fun possibilities.

Of course, the promo below is funnier than the average one for “SNL” mostly thanks to the presence of the hosts and the chemistry that is there. We in particular love the bit about Kenan’s memory loss, where he continuously tries to say “live from New York” at the wrong time.

The musical guest for this show is none other than Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, which further cements the legacy of this installment as probably out most-hyped one of the entire year. Sure, the show hosted by Donald Trump was going to be controversial, but we never really had that much hope that it would actually be funny. You just have to look at the experience and the audacity of whoever is in that hosting role.
