Is ‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 17, episode 10 new tonight on NBC?
If you’ve been wondering why it has been such a quiet week in relation to news on “Law & Order: SVU,” there is a pretty easy explanation: There is no new episode airing on NBC tonight. It’s truly sad news, and it is all tied to the fact that the show has already wrapped up the fall portion of its season.
So when is the series coming back? Think January, and for the time being, the producers are continuing to keep tings at least relatively under wraps when it comes to what sort of stories could be coming up. Are there possibilities? Sure, and plenty of them. We imagine that the producers would love to do something that continues to touch on major headlines, and a crossover event is somewhat possible (though it would be starting to get crazy to combine this show with all of the Chicago-set ones executive-produced by Dick Wolf).
More than anything, though, we are just hoping that the show continues along with what we feel has been a very solid season commercially. While this is not the biggest smash hit on television at this point, the ratings are to a certain degree better than they were during season 16 at this point. Any show that can even maintain a live audience during this age of DVR is clearly doing something right, and that is something that deserves at least a little bit of commendation.
Of course, we’ll have some further updates on the show throughout the hiatus, so our basic advice to us is to be on the lookout for those in due time!

The show won’t be back for 7 weeks. How about articles on the progression of Mariska Hargitay’s contract(is she still demanding $500,000 an episode to come back next season?) Are Kelli Giddish and ICE-T looking for raises in pay also? What is the status of the search for the new show runner? These are things that SVU fans want to know.
