‘Finding Carter’ season 2, episode 20 preview: Jared’s past comes back to haunt him, Carter

On Tuesday night’s “Finding Carter” episode, we had what we would call typical behavior for some of these show’s characters. Carter for some reason decided that she wanted to go live with Lori, who has lied to her for years, while getting extremely angry and distrusting of other people doing more or less the same thing. She and Jared still have some sort of relationship, though she’s not sure that she is ready to be a parent.

Don’t you think that these problems / issues are going to be coming home to roost sooner rather than later? Judging from the new synopsis that we’ve just received for the next new episode of the show, it certainly feels fair to assume this and then some:

“Jared’s past mistakes intrude on Carter’s party; and the Wilsons deal with Carter’s absence in surprising ways.”

By the time we make it through this story, don’t you feel like Jared is going to be on the way out? Given everything that we’ve seen from this character, including the way in which he was communicating with Ben Wallace, it feels at least fairly easy to assume that he is not somebody who is going to still be a part of the show by the time we get around to the end of the season. We don’t know yet if there will be a season 3, but if there is there is a variety of other directions that MTV could go with Carter’s journey.
