‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, episode 6 preview: Elizabeth McCord’s latest crisis
While Elizabeth McCord may not have been Secretary of State for that long compared to many other people that we’ve seen hold the title in life, but this is television. Therefore, all matters have a tendency to be a little bit accelerated. She’s gotten a ton of experience under her belt, and this will suit her well going into Sunday night’s “Madam Secretary” episode, where she has to find a way to pull out a series of aid workers in Syria following some incidents there from an American ISIS leader.
In the sneak peek below, you already see some of how this is challenging her, and it may be even harder when you consider how there is a heavy personal aspect of this for her, as well: Her brother is also positioned in the country. All Americans do matter when it comes to recall missions, but this is something that only could add to the drama.
We certainly want to hope that everything does go according to plan, but we’re talking about diplomacy and delicate matters here in a war-torn country. Therefore, even just one wrong move could send things spiraling and put her in a position where she is struck by great tragedy.
We do plan on bringing you some more news on Sunday, including a further preview for what lies ahead this season! The only other thing that we can say about Sunday night’s new episode, at least for the time being, is to expect a great crisis for Henry.
