‘Quantico’ episode 5 preview: Can Alex use the press to her advantage?
Tonight, “Quantico” further expanded the story of Alex with both her friends and her family, and in the end gave us what certainly qualifies as pretty terrible news: The manhunt has now turned into the shoot-to-kill variety. If she wants to make it through this in one peace, she’s really going to have to hope that she outsmarts the FBI, and also makes sure she is surrounded with people who can protect her.
“Found” is the title for the show next week, and judging from the synopsis below, she is going to decide that visiting with the press may be one of the first and only opportunities that she has to set the record straight about who she really is and whether or not she can be trusted:
“The trainees leave campus for the first time while undergoing their first undercover assignment. With an evening full of unpredictable events, Alex and Ryan find themselves getting close while the recruits’ skills are tested. In the future, Alex decides to tell her side of the story and sits down for her first public interview leaving everyone watching to wonder who is really telling the truth.”
As for the whole “Alex and Ryan are getting close” part of the equation, at the moment we really don’t think we’ve made it to the point where we care that much one way or another. While we find the two characters intriguing, we have not been drawn in too much by the chemistry. Maybe we’re just feeling that way in part because of how much the show made us dive in with them almost right away.
