‘Outlander’ season 2 notes: Sam Heughan’s new audio gig; Graham McTavish’s panel

Outlander -Outlander” fans, it feels like it’s been a while. The truth here is that the Droughtlander is long, and as production continues onward into season 2, there are inevitably going to be some dry spells here and there in regards to news. As we battle through it, we’re going to continue to give you little notes articles here and there to let you know what some of the cast is up to, whether it be details related to the show or what they are working on in their spare time. This time around, we’re focusing more on the latter.

Graham McTavish panel – We were not able to be in attendance at Fan Expo in Toronto this year, but it is a really great convention that we’ve attended multiple times in the past. It can get a tad crowded, but it does at least give you access to a variety of TV and film actors you’d want to spend some time with.

Dougal himself in Graham had a panel at the event, and there’s a fantastic write-up you can read over at SpoilerTV with some details on working with Caitriona Balfe, lavish costumes for season 2, and a variety of other subjects (far too many to include here).

Sam Heughan’s new recording – Just in case you have an interest in listening to Sam’s voice for an extended period of time, you may have an opportunity to do just that coming up.

As it was announced by Simon & Schuster’s audito division on Twitter, Heughan is going to read The Fiery Trail, the eighth story in the Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy series coming out on September 22. At the moment, this particular franchise, led by its companion series The Moral Instruments, is preparing for a chance to shine on the small screen much in the same way that “Outlander” was a year and a half ago. ABC Family has been developing “Shadowhunters” as a series for some time, and it will be coming out in 2016.

For those of you who buy this book for Heughan alone, you are a true fan, indeed!
