‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 9 spoilers: Just when you thought ‘Fun with Flags’ was over…

We had heard previously that on “The Big Bang Theory” season 9, we were going to get a chance to see the woman who Leonard family kissed while aboard a ship on the North Sea. This is the woman who caused turmoil for Leonard and Penny in the most-recent finale, and could have been a hangup in the two getting married. The producers have already revealed that the wedding is happening in the premiere, so you don’t have to be worried about that.

However, you do still need to be concerned with what happens next, and for the first time, the synopsis below for the September 28 episode makes it clear just why she is coming aboard the show. Also, it also makes it clear that fan favorite “Fun with Flags” is coming back on the air:

“Leonard confronts the woman he kissed on the North Sea in an attempt to set Penny’s mind at ease. Also, Sheldon films a special episode of “Fun with Flags” after his [recent drama] with Amy, and Bernadette feels guilty about withholding a secret.”

Regardless of whatever happens between Sheldon and Amy, we’ve made it fairly clear that we are still for the most part optimistic about their future together. After all, why wouldn’t the show want to see these two people, who we’ve invested so much time in over the years, smiling and together in the end? That is just what makes sense, but we do think that Sheldon is going to have to earn her back one way or another.
