‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: A big Abby story coming up!
For all of those who love Abby on “NCIS” (and isn’t it easy to?), great news today: One of the early episodes of season 13 is going to put her character firmly in the spotlight.
According to showrunner Gary Glasberg’s latest quote via TVLine, one of the upcoming season 13 episodes is going to put Pauley Perrette’s character in the spotlight in an “Abby / Die Hard” sort of story, where she is going to have to use her technical prowess in order to save the day. We like these sort of stories thrown in here occasionally, just because it is so important to remember that the people who save the day don’t always have to be the people in the field with the guns and the body armor. Victory can also be attained behind the scenes.
For those of you wondering about another Abby a.k.a. Abigail Borin, there are apparently no plans per the report for Diane Neal to be appearing in the immediate future. Still, we’re sure that if she is available, she’ll turn up at least at some point in season 13. She’s a fan-favorite character, and really someone we’d be happy to see much more of than we do. While she works in the Coast Guard instead of the Navy, there’s enough of a crossover there for there to be some jumping back and forth between the two branches.
“NCIS” season 13 is going to premiere on Tuesday, September 22, and we’ll have some other news all about what to expect in the near future. Stay tuned!

I’m glad that Abby gets a one and done this year. She and Tony didn’t do anything exciting or of consequence last season. Would love to see a Tony line that actually flatters the character for a change. I know Gibbs fans love that Gibbs is the only character who gets any drama, but I’m not so sure fans of the other wonderful characters are as riveted.

It’s refreshing to have an Abby episode. Would love to see more of these. And more Ducky and Palmer episodes. They deserve the spotlight as well. The cast is very talented and they all should get the chance to show their talent and skills.
