‘UnREAL’ season 2: Is there hope for more Adam after finale, after all?
There are obviously a wide array of mysteries when it comes to the upcoming season 1 finale of “UnREAL” airing on Lifetime Monday, but to go along with that, we’ve also heard plenty in regard to the future of a certain “suitor” in Adam Cromwell, as well.
Is there a chance that he will return? The man behind the role in Freddie Stroma has said in some interviews as of late that he would not be coming back. However, it just so turns out that this may have been a case of some confusion over contracts and whatnot. As executive producer Sarah Gertrude Shapiro says to TVLine, there is still a pretty significant chance for Adam to be back on board in some capacity moving forward:
“Freddie didn’t know that we were considering bringing him back for Season 2, so he answered in interviews that he wasn’t coming back because we haven’t officially picked up his contract. But I actually called him [and said], ‘Hey, do you mind just leaving it open, because we actually are sort of talking about it. If you’re open to it, we’d like to talk about it.’ So the door’s definitely open for Adam to make an appearance again.”
We do wonder to a certain extent if the popularity of the Adam character has led to some considerations to potentially see more of him. At this point, we’d be willing to wager that the majority of the audience prefers him to Jeremy as a possible love interest for Rachel, even if Jeremy is one that probably makes more sense for her life and for the show itself, given that he is on the crew and it is easy to keep him around on the show.
