‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Misha Collins on the Darkness’ impending arrival
If “Supernatural” wanted to give us a creepy, mysterious, and unknown power chasing after our heroes for the upcoming 11th season, they have certainly delivered by bringing us the Darkness. This is one of the most ambiguous villains that the show has ever seen; we don’t know yet if it is a person or just some awful form of cloud cover. We only know that it has been around forever, and seems to even predate something in Heaven that is ancient in its own right.
Given that Castiel is someone who should know more than a thing or two about mysterious and very old baddies, we feel like Misha Collins’ comments on the subject to TVLine are all the more illuminating as a result.
“It is a very, very big bad ominous force that angels only heard of as a scary bedtime story … Cas didn’t think that The Darkness was a real thing. So it’s that old of a force.”
As a bit of a bonus, executive producer Jeremy Carver also makes it clear that there will be some major repercussions over the course of the entire season when it comes to the subject of what happened to Dean killing Death. We assumed that there would be, but we do still find this to be one of the most awesome things that any TV character could do. He’s right there with Stephen Colbert doing it to Grimmy on the finale of “The Colbert Report.”
This new season starts on Wednesday, October 7, and there could be chaos at around almost every turn based on where we left off.
