‘Criminal Minds’ season 11: Aisha Tyler starts pulling double-duty

For all of those who love “Criminal Minds,” it feels pretty safe to say right now that it is all happening! Season 11 is in production, and we have some photographic proof that you are not going to have to wait long to see Aisha Tyler on the show. The panelist on “The Talk” / podcaster / “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” host (who may have more hours in her day than everyone else) posted a photo on her Twitter earlier this week as proof. She is going to be going back and forth between the two shows over the next few weeks; luckily, they don’t film in separate states or anything.

Tyler could have a big role throughout at least the early part of season 11, as the BAU is going to be distinctively short on agents in the early going. Jennifer Love Hewitt has left the show, meaning that there is no more Kate Callahan for the time being. Meanwhile, with AJ Cook giving birth earlier this week, we’re not going to see much of JJ soon, either.

Story-wise, the series is currently keeping most of the cases under wraps still. Here’s to hoping that we get something that features an imposing villain who spans several episodes, and maybe some new backstory for one of our established characters to go along with Tyler.

You’ll get a chance to see Aisha in action along with Thomas Gibson and the rest of the cast when “Criminal Minds” premieres this October.
