‘Suits’ season 5, episode 5 preview: Can Louis and Harvey get along?

Tonight’s new episode of “Suits” was definitely a dramatic one, and there were two guest characters really at the center of it: Louis Litt’s sister Esther, and Robert Zane. Neither one of these characters is mentioned in the synopsis below for next week’s episode “Toe to Toe”; we don’t want to necessarily make assumptions based on that, but the show is going in a slightly different direction than some out there would expect:

“When Harvey’s bitter rival Travis Tanner turns up on the other side of a case, claiming to be a changed man, Harvey and Mike must decide whether to believe him – or bury him. As Harvey’s sessions with Dr. Agard continue, she links his personal stake in the Tanner fight to issues from his past. Meanwhile, Jessica tasks Louis to make things right with Harvey, and with Rachel and Donna’s help he devises a plan – one which could make an enemy of the formidable Jack Soloff.”

We do expect that we are going to be seeing a lot of both Robert and Esther moving forward, and for a variety of different reasons. For one, we saw what happened with her and Harvey over the course of tonight’s episode, and Robert’s not going away as Rachel’s father. Let’s just hope that he and Mike can keep that common ground going after tonight. Let’s also hope the same for Harvey and Louis, who were on slightly better terms at the time tonight’s hour ended.

Also, the pressure is now on Travis Tanner and Jack Soloff to match the level of greatness that we had from our guests tonight.
