‘Supernatural’ season 11 spoilers: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, cast tease Big Bad and more

“Supernatural” is one of those shows that always manages to deliver in one way or another at San Diego Comic-Con, and you really shouldn’t expect anything different this time around. The entire cast, including Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins, and Mark Sheppard, were present today in Hall H for what was a really fun discussion. The fact that a talking hamster asking questions nearly broke the panel is both strange and wonderful.

First things first, let’s talk surprises! Rob Benedict and Richard Speight Jr. were the surprise moderators for the event, and there was a Ruth Connell appearance to go along with that. What’s not to love about this show? In terms of scoop, Jeremy Carver made it clear that this is a season coming up more about uniting the brothers than tearing them apart, and they have a Big Bad of sorts in the Darkness to take on. Jared had the line of maybe the whole convention talking about this: “We will beat it because we are not the Losechesters.”

As for some other important little stories from the panel:

1. Jensen is directing what will be the third episode of the season, even if it is the first one to film. We imagine that it is easier for him to prepare for this before production starts this way.

2. The fourth episode of the season will have a particular theme.

3. There will be returning characters throughout the season, and they will show up in surprising ways.

4. Sheppard claimed at one point that Crowley is dead (probably just to mess with the crowd a little).

5. Misha claimed that the height difference makes it hard for Sastiel to happen.
