‘MasterChef’ season 6, episode 8 preview: Otherwise known as the 100th episode!

It is not too often that shows get a chance to make it to their 100th episode. It is an enormous achievement that serves as a symbol of really hard work, relentless dedication, and a ton of people on the crew putting in some really long hours. Ultimately, this is an achievement that deserves a celebration that is really like no other.

Well, next week we’re going to have that on “MasterChef” … sort of. Some people are going to get a chance to celebrate, while the actual contestants are going to be extremely busy trying to make sure that there is some sort of proper event commemorating the big achievement. There will be stress and so much more for Team Captains Olivia and Nick, who have to craft some pretty impressive dishes that put the previous team challenges to shame.

From here, we are transitioning over to a Pressure Test that is all about birthday cake, which to us sounds like a fairly delicious idea. This works fairly well since it sounds so simple, but there are probably a few contestants this season who have never really baked at all. They have a huge challenge to overcome here, but some do manage to rise to the occasion. The person you suspect to go home rarely does.

Can this show make it to 100 more episodes? We’re not ruling it out, mostly because it has such an inspirational nature to it, the casting is great, and it is a show that is easy to follow, even if you miss a week during the busy summer.
