Prepare for ‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3 early! All of season 2 now on Netflix

Yes, we know that the majority of you Netflix users are currently eating your way through the new season of “Orange is the New Black,” but in the event the prison drama is not for you, there is another new addition that is also worth checking out (especially if you haven’t seen it already): “Agents of SHIELD” season 2.

The entire 22-episode second season is online, and if we were to describe it in one word, it’s “fantastic.” There are a lot of interesting twists and turns throughout, and this is especially a great season if you find yourself to be in particular a big fan of the Skye character. Her evolution is something that is important beyond just this show; it gives you insight into what could be in the Inhumans movie and beyond.

So why is this season coming out so early? It’s a fair question, given that for the most part, new seasons of network shows tend to not come out until a few weeks before the next season starts. In this case, we’d like to cite two specific reasons why Marvel may be changing things up:

1. They clearly have a great relationship with Netflix, given the fact that “Daredevil” is there and there are other shows coming. We already wonder if Netflix could be a destination in the event that ABC ever decides that they want out. (Ironically, it is Disney that actually owns Marvel now, not Netflix.)

2. They also are confident in their product, and figure that if they can get more people hooked this summer, maybe they will watch in the fall. It definitely worked for “Breaking Bad”…
