‘The Bachelor’ couple Chris Soules, Whitney Bischoff no longer engaged

As executive producer Mike Fleiss posted on Twitter, the two are no longer engaged. More than likely, this means that the relationship is over, and that’s always sad when you think about this show and the aspirations that it has for couples to be together for a long time. The majority of the time, thought, it just doesn’t work out. The show got somewhat lucky for a couple of seasons with Desiree Hartsock and Sean Lowe actually finding people who they were meant to be with in the long-term. Unfortunately, they’ve since hit a rough patch. Juan Pablo Galavis, Andi Dorfman, and now Chris are all officially single again, and none of their relationships lasted to the point where wedding planning really was on the table.

We do not want to speculate too much on what went wrong here, but we were worried about the two the moment that Chris decided to do “Dancing with the Stars.” This is an enormous time commitment for anyone to take on right after being the Bachelor, and they did not get much time to build a relationship in the real world. Heck, they never really did, given that the ballroom competition only ended a good week and a half ago.

Who knows? Maybe we’ll see one of them involved in the franchise in the future, but the reality is just that these relationships are very difficult to maintain, and we’ll probably hear something more soon.
