‘The Fosters’ season 3 video: Troubles for Stef and Lena in first promo

The second season of “The Fosters” did not exactly end quietly. Not only did we see that terrible car accident, but we have heard since then that Jake T. Austin is not going to be returning for the third season. Therefore, the show will have to figure out something when it comes to the Jesus character; whether he is killed off as a result of that is unclear.

What we do know is that moving beyond the aftermath of the accident, many conflicts will remain. First and foremost, we have the young relationship of Jude and Connor, who are still trying to figure out the parameters of their relationship, and also handle the pressure of being a young gay couple in a world where sexuality is so heavily scrutinized. Does something happen along the lines of bullying that leads to Jude wanting to get a gun for protection? That is at least one of the things you have to think about after watching this.

Also, there is a pretty strong suggestion that trouble could be on the way for Stef and Lena, which is of course something that you never want to hear about when you remember that these two characters are the real anchors for the show and also everything revolves around them in one way or another since they keep the house going.

Somewhere along the line, we imagine that Callie will have yet another earth-shattering story, as well. What makes this promo somewhat different from past ones, though, is that she is not necessarily the character most standing in the spotlight.
