‘American Crime Story’ spoilers: First look at Cuba Gooding Jr. as OJ Simpson

Before we start to get too deep into this “American Crime Story” article, let us begin with what may be the hardest news for some out there to swallow: According to The Hollywood Reporter, this show is not going to premiere on FX until at some point early next year.

With that in mind, we present you the first photo of Cuba Gooding Jr. channeling OJ Simpson, and the resemblance here is greater than even we imagined that it would be. The story of the OJ Simpson trial is one of the most notorious in recent legal history, and the challenge with this show is almost every single person knows the majority of the finer details about it already.

For Cuba, there is little doubt that this is a great gig. While he has done some incredible films over the years, this is a chance for him to really burst back into the spotlight after a relatively quiet period on the air. We hope that he can channel some of the intensity of the man he is portraying. The rest of the cast is also a solid one, and it includes David Schwimmer, John Travolta, Sarah Paulson, and so many more names you will know.
