‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: Will Diggle actually get a mask? David Ramsey says…

At the end of “Arrow” season 3, one of the larger questions that was put out there for Diggle revolved around his future as a crime-fighter, and how he was potentially going to prepare for trying to take down bad guys without Oliver or Felicity around. While Oliver and him are not on the greatest terms, one bit of advice that was handed down was rather simple: It’s probably a good idea to get some sort of a mask.

There have been some various ideas thrown around for Diggle over the past year, including that he could actually be John Stewart and the Green Lantern connection is strong within him. However, that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon, since we figure that this probably a character and a story that will be revived in the latest DC Comics movies at some point. What is more likely is that John will get a different kind of mask, which is suggested as well by David Ramsey in his latest comments on the subject to ComicBook.com:

“I do think you need some kind of concealment. I agree with that. And to that end, they are working on something. You will see something for Diggle next year, season 4. You will.”

As long as you’re not giving him some sort of garish costume or cheesy gimmick, we’re fine with a simple mask. The appeal of Diggle is mostly that he is an ordinary guy who has gone through some extraordinary things, and he fights crime without having to create some sort of over-the-top alter ego.

Given that HIVE and Damien Darhk are each going to surface in a big way next season, we also anticipate quite a bit of Diggle story and mythology there, as well.
